Detox Bath

Warm Baths are relaxing…adding the benefit of a detox is too good to not try out. Detox Baths help remove toxins from the body, cleanse the body and help the body functions go well. Here are a couple of Detox Bath Recipes for you to try.
Salt Detox 
  • 1/4 cup Sea Salt or Himalayan Salt
  • 1/4 cup Epsom Salt
  • 1/4 cup Baking Soda
  • 1/3 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Favorite essential oil if desired
Mix both salts, baking soda and apple cider vinegar in any container. Fill your bath tub with as hot water as you can tolerate. Add the mix inside and essential oils if you want to. Soak in for 20 minutes.
Clay Detox: 
  • 1/2 cup bentonite clay
  • 1/2 cup epsom salts
  • essential oils if desired
Mix in clay with little amount of water in a bowl. Make sure there are no lumps. Add the clay mix and salt in bathtub (filled with hot water of course) and soak for 20 minutes. Or you can apply the clay all over your body, add salt to water and soak for 20 minutes.
Oxygen Detox: 
  • 2 cups (or more) of Hydrogen Peroxide
  • 1 Tablespoon dried Ginger Powder
Mix the hydrogen peroxide and ginger powder in water. Soak in for 20 minutes. This bath is helpful during illness and helps clear congestion.
Warning: Do this right before bed because you’ll be light-headed, weak and dizzy after bath.

How To Properly Wash Your Face

For a lot of us washing face before sleeping in a part of daily routine but research shows a lot many women still don’t wash their faces. Sleeping with all the make up, dirt & oil on face surely sounds yucky. Here is how to properly wash your face in just easy 7 steps.

1. Wash your face using warm water & a mild cleanser. Pat dry with a clean towel. Never dry your face by rubbing its causes irritation.
2. Apply toner of your choice and wait for it to dry.
3. Apply any topical medications you want to.
4. Apply eye serum or eye cream & let it dry.
5. Apply moisturiser even if you have oily skin. Dry skin causes skin to produce more oil.
Follow the remaining instructions for morning time.
6. Apply sunscreen with at least SPF 30 to protect your skin from harmful UV rays.
7. Apply make up primer/base and do your make up as you would like.

DIY Chamomile Face wash

Washing-face
Chamomile face wash has healing properties as well as antiseptic & anti-inflammatory. It can treat acne, eczema, soothe skin and helps with minor sunburns. It also speeds up healing process and reduces skin inflammation.
Ingredients:
  • ¼ cup liquid castile soap
  • ¼ cup organic chamomile tea
  • ¾ teaspoon of any of these grapeseed oil, sweet almond oil, hazelnut oil, avocado oil, olive oil
  • 8 drops essential oils
  • several drops of Vitamin E oil (you may skip that)
Directions :
  • Brew a cup of chamomile tea and put aside ¼ cup to cool. You can drink the rest of tea ;)
  • Add the remaining ingredients in a mixing bowl and combine them well.
  • Add the tea when its completely cooled.
  • Mix in the chamomile tea and pour into a empty pump bottle.

Essential oil by skin type
  • For OILY skin use an antiseptic Essential Oil like tea tree, bergamot, or lemongrass.
  • For DRY skin use a mild Essential Oil like sandalwood, chamomile, rose or lavender.
  • For MATURE skin use Essential oils that have the benefits of stimulating cell growth. Examples are lavender, jasmine or geranium. Also add several drops of Vitamin E oil to nourish skin.
